ADENIUM START has been set up as a literary debut contest whose aim is to discover and promote valuable authors whose work has not yet been published in a book. Apart from securing a literary debut in style, the winning contestants benefit from a whole range of follow-up services, such as a promotional campaign, a press release, and distribution services for their book.

As a publication specialised in taking the pulse of the latest cultural trends, the magazine TIMPUL is an active supporter of the dialogue between members of the intellectual elite and the initiatives resulting from it aimed at improving the Romanian cultural environment.
In the long run, TIMPUL makes a stand as a publication which promotes a free dialogue and keeps up with the most recent trends and attitudes that make their mark on the fabric of the socio-cultural Romanian environments.
TIMELY PEOPLE
First launched Iasi, 2014
The TIMELY PEOPLE campaign has been launched as a yearly event organised by the magazine of contemporary cultural trends TIMPUL in partnership with other cultural and academic institutions, as well as local and national businesses. The goal of this annual event is the public recognition of people and organisations who have a positive impact on the development of cultural phenomena and institutions within Romania, contributing to the establishment of democratic values and their implementation in the every-day life of the community.
A Little Frog’s Heart
The poject targets a young audience and consists of a series of children’s work-shops entitled „A Little Frog’s Heart – Learning through Play”, and soon-to-be-launched live puppet shows and audio-books.
The headquarters for the 3D animation project is located in The United Kingdom where a young and talented team of specialists are working together towards turning the „Little Frog’s Heart” book series into an animated series.
THE NIGHTS OF THE ROMANIAN FILM UNDER THE AUSPICES OF TIMPUL (Plasare Logo pentru SERILE FILMULUI ROMANESC TIMPUL)
The event has taken off in support of the Romanian film production an is intentended as a facilitator in communication between the film-loving audience in Iasi and home-grown film-makers. The necessity of a film festival which reaches out to large audiences, actors, directors and producers alike has been pointed out and demonstrated in 2014, at the pilot event. Thus, a decision has been made by Adenium Publishing in partnership with Timpul to carry on this cinematic project that appears to be one-of-a-kind in the current Romanian cultural environment, where a slow disappearance of dedicated places for cinematic viewings has been recently brought to the attention of the public.
ADENIUM PUBLISHING – Putting Excellence into Practice!
Adenium Publishing has been founded in 2010 primarily as a publishing house specialised in children’s literature and comics. After less than three years, in February 2013, Adenium Publishing has grown to be an all-inclusive publishing house, with a proven capability of bringing to light both children’s, and adults’ books. As it turned out, the new step in the development of Adenium Publishing was successful beyond expectations as all the planned objectives were attained and surpassed within the year.
At present the number of titles available at Adenium Publishing has exceded the 100-land-mark and continues to go up all the time. Some titles have appeared in more than one language (English, French, Italian, Polish, Humgarian, Portuguese, Greek, Russian) and in more than one format (printed, ePub, PDF).
As a publishing house on the rise, we try to bring on the market books from as many fields of expertise as possible. So far, we have published fiction, essay, history, children’s books, children’s comics, diary, linguistics, philosophy, religious studies, medical science, sociology, antropology, international relations.
We have a noticeable presence in the most prestigious book-store chains in Romania (Carturesti, Librarium, Humanitas, Compania de Librarii Bucuresti, Sedcom Libris Iasi, Sedcom Libris, Alexandria Librarii), in the super-markets (Carrefour, Auchan), as well as on the most popular online book retail sites in Romania (www.elefant.ro, www.librarie.net, www.cartionline.net) and abroad (Amazon.com, Inc.; Apple, Inc iBookstore; Baker&Taylor, Inc; Barnes& Noble, Inc; Google Inc.; Kobo Inc; Nokia Corporation; Overdrive Inc.; Sony Electornics, Inc.).
In the last few years, Adenium Publishing has been part of the most important book-fairs taking place nationally and internationally. Here are some of the events attended by us: Madrid International Book Fair, Bookfest, Gaudeamus, „Transilvania” National Book Fair, „Sinaia Event” for Books, Press and Music, The International Exhibition for Children &Young People’s Fiction Books in Moldova,, The Fair for Publications in Religious Studies – Sibiu, The London Book Fair etc). Adenium Publishing has also taken an active role working in partnership with other institutions to organize ample cultural events such as:The International Fair for Culture and Education in Iasi and The international Fair for Translated Literature.
In the long string of public appearances which Adenium Publishing has made until now, we should mention the many press-releases and book launchings usually taking place in locations rich in cultural heritage both in Romania (Iasi, Bucuresti, Brasov, Cluj-Napoca, Timisoara), and abroad (Canada, The United Kingdom, Spain, Moldova).
In a relatively short period of time, Adenium Publishing has also built up solid collaboration relationships with already famous authors: Mircea Danieliuc, Cristian Tudor Popescu, Irina Margareta Nistor, Adrian Cioroianu, Serban Foarta, Liviu Antonesei, Ovidiu Pecican are but a few of them.

The latest academic endevour Adenium Publishing has launched less than a year ago (March 2014 – January 2015), Colloquium book series, has been coordinated from the very beginning by a board of reputable academics presided by Prof. Dr. Daniel Sandru, specialised in Political Studies.
All the members of the above-mentioned board are world class specialists in Political and Social Studies who have been teaching generations of students formed in Romanian universities and all over the world: Prof. Dr. Aurelian Craiutu ( University of Indiana, Bloomington, USA), Prof. Dr. Dan Pavel (Bucharest University), Prof. Dr. Sorin Bocancea ( „Petre Andrei” University, Iasi ), Lect. Dr. Ruxandra Ivan (Bucharest University), Lect. Dr. Sergiu Miscoiu („Babes-Bolyai” University, Cluj), Lect. Dr. Sabin Dragulin ( „Dimitrie Cantemir” Christine University, Bucharest), Lect. Dr. Sergiu Gherghina (Dept. Of Political Science, „Goethe” University, Frankfurt).
Ten books have been published so far in two out of the three series of Colloquium Collection. Thus volumes belonging to Colloquium.Thought-Provoking Series and Colloquium.Original Series have been successfully launched starting in November 2014 at the two most prestigious book festivals in Romania (Gaudeamus and Bookfest), while a book caravan journeyed up and down the country introducing these books to students studying at the following universities: Bucharest, Cluj, Timisoara, Oradea, Sibiu si Iasi.
New and exciting titles are still to be published within the two already mentioned series, and in Colloquium .Universal Series which will consist of corner-stone books in the field of Social and Political Sciences.
The books in this collection target specialists and students interested in the field, and all those who seek to understand specific concepts that make up the political discourse, as well as the institutional and ideological mechanisms leading to the successful putting into practice of politics.
Every day we do our best to put excellence into practice. The driving engine that pulls forward our committed team of professionals is a shared passion for timeless literature, a perfectionist way of looking at things whereby improvement is always an option when it comes to culture and science, knowing that our best efforts come together to better the lives of the community we are rooted in and to send echoes far and wide into the greater community which we all belong to: the human kind.
